India is likely to get two theatre commands by August 15, reported CNN News 18. According to the report, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to make announcement in this regard on August 15. The two theatre commands will be – the Maritime Command and the Air Defence Command.

Defence Ministry Signs Contract With Mahindra Defence to Supply 1,300 Light Combat Vehicles to Indian Army
The Defence Ministry on Monday signed a contract Mahindra Defence Systems Ltd (MDSL) to acquire 1,300 light combat vehicles for the Indian Army at a cost of Rs 1,056 crore. As per the deal, the MDSL will provide these vehicles to the Indian Army over the period of next four years.
Exercise Desert Flag VI: IAF to Participate in The Military Drill in UAE For The 1st Time
The Indian Air Force is participating for the first time in Exercise Desert Flag-VI. Air forces of United Arab Emirates, United States of America, France, Saudi Arabia, South Korea and Bahrain are also participating in the desert. The exercise is scheduled from March 3, 2021 to March 27, 2021 at Al-Dhafra airbase of the UAE.
