India on Monday successfully test-fire BrahMos, the supersonic cruise missile, from Indian Navy’s indigenously-built stealth destroyer INS Chennai. BrahMos hit a target in the Arabian Sea during the test-firing. The missile hit the target successfully with pin-point accuracy after performing high-level and extremely complex manoeuvres.
The Indian Army known across the world for its discipline and tradition. Setting an example, Chinar Corps of the Indian Army restored the damaged grave of a decorated Pakistani officer in Naugam sector of Jammu and Kashmir. The Chinar Corps also tweeted the image of the of the epitaph on the grave.

Meanwhile, incumbent commander of the XIV corps Lt Gen Harinder Singh will be new commandant of the prestigiois Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun. Notably, Leh-based XIV Corps is responsible to look after norther border of India with Pakistan and China.

Extended range BrahMos blasted off from ITR, Balasore in Odisha.
Lieutenant General Jaiveer Singh Negi, Commandant, Indian Military Academy (IMA) will finally bid adieu to the Olive Greens on September 30, 2020. Lt Gen Jaiveer Singh Negi’s illustrious career spanned over nearly 40 years. He had tenated important Command, Staff and Instructional appointments. During a simple and solemn ceremony being held at the War Memorial, IMA, the General Officer will pay homage to the martyrs and will be hanging his uniform today.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday laid the Foundation Stone for construction of two underpasses at Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun. The inauguration was done electronically from New Delhi by Singh and was e-witnessed by the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Bipin Rawat, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General MM Naravane, and GOC-in-C Army Training Command, Lieutenant General Raj Shukla.
A Sukhoi Su-30 fighter aircraft of Russian Air and Space Force (RuAF) was reportedly shot down by country’s own Su-35 S Flanker fighter jet during a routine “dog fight” maneuver on September 22. The Sukhoi Su-30 crashed in Russia’s northwest Trevor region. Both the pilots of Su-30 ejected safely from the aircraft.
Lieutenant Shivangi SIngh on Tuesday became the first woman fighter pilot of the Indian Air Force’s (IAF’s) Rafale squadron “Golden Arrows”. Flt Lt Shivangi Singh was commissioned into the IAF in 2017. She was part of the the IAF’s second batch of women fighter pilots. Flt Lt Singh is currently undergoing conversion training, and will become part of Squadron no. 17, which is based in Ambala.
Recently, a video surfaced on social media showing soldiers of People’s Liberation Army (PLA) soldier crying after they reportedly being sent to India-China border in the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh sector. In the video, the young Chinese soldiers could be seem sitting inside a bus and some were crying.
