Russian Fighter Jet Crashed in ‘Friendly Fire’; Russia’s Su-35S Shot Down Su-30 During Dogfight Training

A Sukhoi Su-30 fighter aircraft of Russian Air and Space Force (RuAF) was reportedly shot down by country’s own Su-35 S Flanker fighter jet during a routine “dog fight” maneuver on September 22. The Sukhoi Su-30 crashed in Russia’s northwest Trevor region. Both the pilots of Su-30 ejected safely from the aircraft.

Flt Lt Shivangi Singh Becomes First Woman Fighter Pilot to Join Rafale’s ‘Golden Arrows’ Squadron

Lieutenant Shivangi SIngh on Tuesday became the first woman fighter pilot of the Indian Air Force’s (IAF’s) Rafale squadron “Golden Arrows”. Flt Lt Shivangi Singh was commissioned into the IAF in 2017. She was part of the the IAF’s second batch of women fighter pilots. Flt Lt Singh is currently undergoing conversion training, and will become part of Squadron no. 17, which is based in Ambala.

In A First, Indian Navy Women Officers Sub-lieutenant Kumudini Tyagi and Sub-lieutenant Riti Singh to Operate Helicopters From Warships

In a first, two women officers have been selected to join as “Observers” (Airborne Tacticians) in the helicopter stream of the Indian Navy. Sub Lieutenant (SLt) Kumudini Tyagi and SLt Riti Singh are part the first set of women airborne combatants who would be operating from warships. SLt Tyagi and SLt Singh, are a part of a group of 17 officers of the Indian Navy, including four women officers and three officers of the Indian Coast Guard.

India’s longest serving warship INS Viraat on Saturday set sail upon its final journey to Gujarat’s Alang. INS Viraat was towed by tug boats from Naval Dockyard in Mumbai. The Indian Navy’s longest serving warship will be dismantled at shipbreaking yard in Alang. INS Viraat will reach Alang on Sunday midnight.

‘Indian Army Soldiers Have Fired Warning Shots at PLA Troops at Line of Actual Control in Ladakh’, Claims China

China on Monday claimed that the Indian Army soldiers fired warning shots on People's Liberation Army (PLA) troops at the Line of Actual Control (LAC). A PLA spokesperson said that Chinese border guards were forced to take counter countermeasures to stabilise the situation. However, India has not reacted to the Chinese claim.
