In a major setback for Pakistan, India on Thursday shot down one F-16 fighter jets, and two JF-17 jet claimed media reports citing sources. As per the reports, Two F-16s were shot down in Jaisalmer and Pathankot. The development came a day after India launched Operation Sindoor targeting nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK).

  • One Pakistan F-16s, two JF-17 fighter jet were reportedly shot down by Indian missiles after Islamabad tried to target Indian military and civilian installations in border areas of Jammu, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat.

  • In a statement, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said that the Pakistan’s air defence system was destroyed in response to Islamabad’s bid to attack a number of military targets in Northern and Western India on the intervening night of May 7 and 8.
