Make in India Boost: Brazil Eyes Bharat Forge’s Garuda 105 V2 Mobile Artillery; Here Are Key Features

New Delhi: In a major boost for India’s Make in India initiative, Brazil has shown interest in the indigenously-built Garuda 105 V2 4×4 Go-Anywhere Gun, claimed media reports. The Garuda defence system is manufactured by Bharat Forge Group’s Kalyani Strategic Systems (KSSL). It can be used for fast deployment and precision strikes.

As per a report by AFI, P. Kumaran, Secretary (East) in the Ministry of External Affairs, confirmed the development. His statement came just days ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Brazil for the BRICS Summit. Notably, this summit will be held from July 5 to 8.

According to reports, Brazil has also shown interest in India’s Akash air defence system.
