Lt Gen Vijay Kumar Mishra Takes Over As 51st Commandant Of IMA

Lt Gen Vijay Kumar Mishra, AVSM, has taken over as the 51st Commandant of the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun on August 31. He paid his tribute at the War Memorial in a solemn ceremony recognising the supreme sacrifice of brave soldiers for the nation.

Lt Gen Harinder Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, Commandant, Indian Military Academy will finally bid adieu to the Olive Greens on 31 Aug 2022 after an illustrious career spanning over nearly 40 years and having tenated important Command, Staff and Instructional appointments. During a simple and solemn ceremony being held at the War Memorial, IMA, the General Officer paid homage to the soldiers, who in line of duly have laid down their lives for the Nation.

IMA POP Spring Term 2021: 425 GCs, Including 84 From Friendly Foreign Countries Pass Out From Academy; Check State-Wise and Country-Wise List of Cadets

Maximum number of 66 officers were commissioned into the Indian Army from Uttar Pradesh, followed by 38 from Haryana. Among GCs from friendly foreign countries, highest number of 43 cadets were from Afghanistan, followed by 18 from Bhutan.
