IMA POP Autumn Term 2020: ‘Son-et-Lumiere’ Sound And Light Show Held at Indian Military Academy (View Pics And Videos)

The POP at IMA is a spectacular event showcasing the training imparted to the further military leaders. As a build up to the Parade, a splendid “Son-et-Lumiere” show, based on the theme “Indian Military Academy Through the Ages” was held on December 11 which took the audience on a nostalgic journey of the Academy from its inception in 1932 to its present status.

A total of 19 top Indian Army commanders awarded the Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM). The Army Commanders who were awarded the Param Vashishth Seva Medal include - Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Ranbir Singh and Vice Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS)  Lt Gen Satinder Kumar Saini.

Kargil War Hero Lt Gen YK Joshi Appointed as Northern Army Commander, Will Take Charge on February 1

Kargil War hero Lieutenant General Yogesh Kumar Joshi on Thursday was appointed as the new Northern Army Commander. Lt Gen Joshi will succeed Lt Gen Ranbir Sing, whois superannuating on January 31. Lt Gen Joshi is currently serving as the Chief of Staff of the Northern Command and will take charge as the Northern Army Commander on February 1.
