The trailer of the movie Shershaah was launched on Sunday, on the eve of Kargil Vijay Diwas which is celebrated every year on July 26. Actors Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani and producer Karan Johar reached Kargil for the trailer launch event. The movie is based on the life of Kargil War Hero and Param Vir Chakra winner Shaheed Captain Vikram Batra.

Siddharth Malhotra will portray the role of Captain Vikram Batra. The announcement regarding the release date was made by Siddhartha Malhotra on his Twitter handle. Kaira Advani will essay the the role of Dimple Cheema, Captain Batra’s girlfriend.
