Indian Naval Officer Lieutenant Rahul Dalal Saves Man from Drowning in Kochi

Indian Naval officer Lieutenant Rahul Dalal saved a life by rescuing a drowning man at Kerala’s Vypin beach on April 5. Lt. Rahul is a navigating officer in INS Sutlej. According to the Indian Navy, at about 4:10 pm on April 5 the officer noticed a person struggling in water, was unable to swim and trying to shout for help. After which Lt. It took him only a few minutes to reach the victim but almost 20 to 25 minutes to bring him back to the shore as the under-current was strong. After bringing the victim back to the shore, the naval officer administered Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation, whereupon the victim was revived. In the meantime, the police was informed and the victim was taken to a Government hospital from where he was discharged after recuperation. Lt Dalal was on a vacation with his wife when the incident took place. Neitizens are lauding the courageous act of the Naval officer:

The victim has been identified as Dileep Kumar from Aurangabad. According to reports, came to the channel to bathe, and accidentally drowned in front of the crowd.
