Dehradun: The Passing Out Parade for IMA’s spring term for the 156th Regular, 45th Technical Entry Scheme, and 139th Technical Graduate Course will take place on June 14. The IMA POP Spring Term 2021 will be held at Chetwode Drill Square. The parade will be reviewed by Sri Lankan Army Commander General Lasantha Rodrigo. Viewers can catch the live streaming of the IMA Spring Term 2021 on the YouTube channel – “IMA POP and Pipping Ceremony June 2021”.
After the PoP, the pipping ceremony will be held at Khetarpal Stadium. It will be for the first time that the pipping ceremony is taking place inside Khetarpal Stadium. During the pipping ceremony, family members of officer cadets put the stars on their uniforms, officially marking their transition from cadet to officer. Cadets from friendly foreign countries will also be commissioned into their regular armies after the pipping ceremony.

Last week, the IMA released a video of the rigorous training at the academy.
The 45-second powerful clip captures the essence of cadet life, showcasing rigorous physical training, obstacle courses, and intense sports sessions.
“Grit, grind, and glory – here’s a glimpse into the action behind the training at the #IMA, Dehradun. From obstacle courses to PT and sports – where the officer cadets are forged into warriors,” the Indian Military Academy said in an X post.
Whether it’s scaling walls, sprinting across rugged terrains, or engaging in team-building exercises, each task aims at shaping officer cadets into warriors of exceptional character, strength, and resilience.
