Kargil Vijay Diwas 2021 Celebrations: Lt Gen YK Joshi Leads ‘Dhruva Kargil Ride’ From Udhampur to Drass to Pay Tribute to Kargil War Heroes

Ahead of the 22nd Anniversary of the Kargil Vijay Diwas, “Dhruva Kargil Ride” was organised from Udhampur to Drass by the Indian Army on Thursday to commemorate gallant actions of Kargil War heroes. The Dhruva Kargil Ride was flagged off by Kargil War hero, Subedar Sanjay Kumar, PVC. GOC-in-C, Northern Command, The bike rally was led by Lt Gen YK Joshi was also [resent at the event. Meanwhile, incumbent commander of the XIV corps Lt Gen Harinder Singh will be new commandant of the prestigiois Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun. Kargil War Hero Lt Gen YK Joshi Appointed as Northern Army Commander, Will Take Charge on February 1

Kargil War hero Lieutenant General Yogesh Kumar Joshi on Thursday was appointed as the new Northern Army Commander. Lt Gen Joshi will succeed Lt Gen Ranbir Sing, whois superannuating on January 31. Lt Gen Joshi is currently serving as the Chief of Staff of the Northern Command and will take charge as the Northern Army Commander on February 1.
