In a series of events that Indian Military Academy, Dehradun has been organising towards all round personality development of the Gentleman Cadets, the Singing Cowboy of India, Bobby Cash delivered a mesmerising performance. A solo performer, with his magical guitar, the famous local singer has earned a name for himself with his performance at home and abroad. Lt Gen Harinder Singh, Former Fire And Fury Corps Commander, Takes Over as 50th IMA Commandant.
Cash’s string and country songs enthralled the young future Military Leaders. The singer also shared the rich experiences and motivated the Gentlemen Cadets to always remain prepared to grab opportunities as also precious moments that life offers. At the end Lt Gen Harinder Singh, Commandant, Indian Military Academy appreciated and felicitated the guest singer.
Last week, a talk was organised at Khetarpal Auditorium of the Academy by Commander Abhilash Tomy, Kirti Chakra, Nausena Medal (Retired). Abhilash Tomy shared challenges he faced undertaking solo sailing of 151 days across 65,000 nautical miles. The officer has also authored two books. The talk by the ‘First Indian Circumnavigator of the Earth’, was highly appreciated by all and he received a standing ovation from the Academy.
